Main Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Road Signage Inspector to survey road signs and traffic calming features across the network, record findings in our online AFMIS system, and manage defects from identification to close‑out. You’ll log inspections in real time, verify third‑party defect reports from the TII portal, raise and validate faults by location, and add any new assets found. You will also check and sign off new installations by Colas and subcontractors, ensuring they meet design specs, the Traffic Signs Manual, and quality standards. The role includes helping shape task orders to improve efficiency and value, coordinating with site supervisors on stock levels, completing and closing tasks promptly, carrying out site safety audits, and working closely with internal teams and external partners (TII, local authorities, and service providers) to deliver compliant, safe, and high‑quality outcomes. Based in Mallow, Co. Cork or Kilcolgan, Co. Galway. Reports to the Contractor’s Representative (Project Manager).
Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a creative problem‑solver with strong leadership, organisation and time‑management skills, excellent written and oral communication, the ability to produce clear reports for varied audiences, and the interpersonal ability to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders.
