The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Supervisor to join our team & assist with the day-to-day activities within our Asphalt production facility. The role will primarily involve operating our plant/s around Central Queensland and will be based back in Rockhampton after each campaign. Shifts will rotate and you will be required to work both day and night shift plus some weekends and overtime as needed.
Key responsibilities include:

Operate the Asphalt Plant & Loader
-
Lead the asphalt plant production staff
-
Ordering and scheduling raw material deliveries
-
Identifying & scoping maintenance requirements
-
Obtaining quotations from suitably qualified suppliers to undertake maintenance works
-
Scheduling and completing Plant maintenance
-
Ensure that point source and fugitive dust emissions from the asphalt plant are monitored and action taken if excessive emissions are noted
-
Ensure all safety rules stipulated in relevant legislation and regulations including Colas requirements and site-specific instructions are observed

Complete workplace inspections as required

The successful candidate will hold:

Valid Driver's Licence
-
Forklift Licence
-
White Card
Essential attributes:
-
Previous experience in Asphalt, Manufacturing, Civil Road Construction or Bitumen industry or equivalent

Able to work as an effective operator and part of a team
-
Able to work efficiently and to deadlines including overtime when required
-
Able to accurately complete all paperwork
Desired attributes:
-
Understanding of WHS&E Legislation, Dangerous Goods Legislation, and safety requirements for Asphalt

Knowledge of the use of bitumen and bitumen specialty products
