Day in the Life
As a Distributor Truck Driver, you will start your day early by completing pre-trip inspections and preparing your equipment for operations. Working independently in the field while coordinating with dispatch and customers, you will apply asphalt emulsion or tack coat at controlled rates, ensuring consistent coverage and supporting overall production flow. This role requires working away from home throughout the week, supporting projects across the region.
Throughout the day, you will monitor and adjust the spray system, including temperature, pressure, and bar settings, to meet job specifications while maintaining a strong focus on safety around hot materials and active work zones. When not actively spraying, you will be responsible for cleaning spray bars and nozzles, completing routine maintenance, and ensuring the truck remains in good working condition. You will also complete daily logs, timesheets, and required documentation, while maintaining communication with dispatch and supervision as needed.
Work schedules typically involve early starts, long days, and staying out of town during the work week (accommodations provided), with travel between job sites.
