Mission
Main Responsibilities
Railway Operations Management
- Develop and implement railway operational procedures and controls for construction activities.
- Manage railway access, possessions, and worksite coordination across all project areas.
- Ensure operational activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate operational interfaces between civil, track, systems, depot, and station works.
Permit-to-Work & Possession Control
- Establish and manage the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for all railway-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with access control, possession rules, and worksite protection requirements.
- Review and approve access requests in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Monitor PTW performance and implement continuous improvements.
Work Train & Rail Logistics Management
- Plan and supervise work train movements and rail-based logistics operations.
- Coordinate the use of railway vehicles, plant, and resources to support construction activities.
- Optimize rail access and logistics to minimize operational conflicts and project delays.
- Ensure all rail movements are conducted in accordance with approved operational procedures.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with railway operational standards, project requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Lead operational risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action plans related to railway operations.
- Promote a strong railway safety culture across the project.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Act as the focal point for railway operational matters within the project.
- Coordinate with contractors, client representatives, and project teams on operational requirements.
- Lead operational planning meetings and resolve railway access or possession conflicts.
- Provide operational advice and recommendations to project leadership.
Profile
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in railway construction, railway operations, or major rail infrastructure projects.
- Experience in railway access control, possessions, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Knowledge of work train operations, rail logistics, and railway safety management.
- Experience supporting Testing & Commissioning and operational readiness activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
