Senior Workshop Engineer oversees all maintenance, diagnostics, and repair operations for a diverse fleet consisting of heavy machinery (yellow goods, excavators, forklifts) and light utility vehicles (cars, vans).and the primary focus is maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring safety, and minimizing operational costs through robust preventive maintenance schedules.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintenance Management: Establish and execute preventative maintenance plans using hour-meters for heavy equipment and mileage tracking for light vehicles.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Lead technical troubleshooting for advanced hydraulic systems, diesel engines, heavy-machinery electronics, and light vehicle drivetrains.
- Workshop Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and develop the onsite team of mechanics, technicians, and welders.
- Inventory Control: Manage spare parts procurement and inventory levels to balance cost with immediate asset availability.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSE) within the workshop, especially concerning heavy lifting and hazardous material disposal
Qualifications/Experience required

Education: |
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, or a related field. |

Experience: |
5+ years Proven experience in workshop and management, preferably in the construction or railway industry. Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and logistics processes. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. |

Language Requirements: |
Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus. |
