Job Description: 

Mission

The BIM Modeler is responsible for developing the subsystem BIM model and extracting 2D documentation from the BIM model for the project. He/she uses BIM authoring tools for subsystem model element creation based on the design intent. The BIM Modeler is proficient in producing the system BIM model for the project. He/she can conduct an interference check to ensure the quality of the BIM model. The BIM Modeler is an expert in producing equipment installation drawing and a Cable routing drawing that shall comply with the CAD Standard provided. He/she applies the guidelines established by the BIM Manager and works under the supervision of the BIM Coordinator 

Main Responsibilities

>    3D model development of each subsystem shall comply with the design development and to meet the LOD specification
>    Maintain the sub-system model reference to the Civil Package Contractor Model with the correct geo-referencing or project coordinate system
>    Responsible to perform interference check prior submit to System BIM Coordinator for review
>    Coordinating and interfacing with the System BIM Coordinators to resolve the system model issues
>    To meet the schedule and due dates for submitting deliverables 
>    Ensuring the implementation of data in the sub-system model are correct
>    Maintain the quality of the sub-system model (LoG & LoI)
>    Update the individual sub-system model to achieve zero clash
>    Integrates the asset information into all the sub-system, the asset information shall comply with the Asset Requirement from the client 
>    Updates of “as-constructed” condition in the final System model deliverables, including the validation by the Civil Contractor at the end of the construction work before the handover
>    Extract COBie spreadsheet from the Sub-system model for Consortium BIM Coordinator to review prior to submit for approval

Profile

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 4-5 years of experience

Or Significant experience in the field of Technical studies in construction and public works
