Position Summary
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for owning the day-to-day operations of the parts stockroom, including inventory control, parts distribution, and coordination of orders with suppliers. This role ensures that parts are accurately tracked, readily available, and efficiently managed to support operations. The position also plays a key role in maintaining an organized stockroom and supporting continuous improvement in inventory processes.
This position works Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (50 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the parts stockroom, including receiving, storing, and issuing inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and month-end reconciliation
- Coordinate parts orders by preparing requisitions and arranging delivery with suppliers
- Provide counter service to support operations and fulfill parts requests in a timely manner
- Prepare shipments and coordinate delivery or pickup of parts, goods, and equipment as required
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts room and any external storage areas
- Provide backup support to the Buyer as needed
Requirements
- Experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or parts environment is preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable learning and using inventory and purchasing systems (experience with SharePoint or Coupa is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain accurate inventory records
- Basic math skills to support inventory tracking and stock management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and suppliers
- Reliable, organized, and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
