The Role
We are seeking an experienced Batch Plant Operator to join our team & assist with the day-to-day activities within our Asphalt production facility, based in Yatala. Shifts will rotate and you will be required to work both day and night shift plus some weekends and overtime as needed.
Key responsibilities include:

Monitoring and controlling batch plant operations
-
Operate loader to move aggregates and other raw materials
-
Ordering and scheduling raw material deliveries
-
Identifying & scoping maintenance requirements
-
Obtaining quotations from suitably qualified suppliers to undertake maintenance works
-
Scheduling and completing Plant maintenance
-
Ensure all safety rules stipulated in relevant legislation and regulations including Colas requirements and site-specific instructions are observed

Complete workplace inspections as required
The successful candidate will hold:

Valid Driver's Licence
-
Forklift Licence
-
White Card
Essential attributes:
-
Demonstrated ability in all facets of asphalt manufacturing
-
Able to work as an effective operator and part of a team
-
Able to work efficiently and to deadlines including overtime when required
-
Able to accurately complete all paperwork
Desired attributes:
-
Previous experience in Asphalt, Manufacturing, Civil Road Construction or Bitumen industry or equivalent
-
Understanding of WHS&E Legislation, Dangerous Goods Legislation, and safety requirements for Asphalt
-
Knowledge of the use of bitumen and bitumen specialty products
-
HR truck licence
