Mission
To provide essential support to the Finance and Accounting team by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, assisting in the preparation of reports, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The role contributes to the efficiency and integrity of the company’s financial operations.
Main Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the following:
- Assist in recording and verifying daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing reconciliations and schedules.
- Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance and Accounting team as needed.
- Assist in tax documentation and compliance activities.
Profile
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CPA board exam passer) are advantageous but not mandatory. · Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Practical experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate or construction-related environment.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems).
- Understanding of Philippine financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for liaising with internal departments and external vendors.
