About the job

T&C Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing, commissioning, and handover activities for Depot Equipment scope. The role ensures that systems, equipment, and facilities are tested, verified, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and safety standards. The T&C Manager acts as the main interface between construction, engineering, operations, and client stakeholders to deliver a fully operational and reliable project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project testing & commissioning strategy, schedule, and procedures.
  • Manage and supervise T&C teams, subcontractors, and third-party specialists to ensure all activities are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and quality teams to confirm readiness for testing and commissioning.
  • Review and approve test procedures, method statements, and commissioning documentation.
  • Monitor progress of T&C activities and provide regular reports to project management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage punch list, defect rectification, and system handover to operations/maintenance teams.
  • Ensure all required documentation (as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, test reports) is completed and submitted.
  • Act as the key contact point for clients during T&C phases, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in DEQ, with at least 2 years in testing & commissioning management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, DEQ systems, and commissioning standards.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams in complex projects, especially railway.
  • Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO) and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and focus on quality, safety, and deadlines.
