The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to contribute to the successful design, delivery, and execution of pavement projects throughout WA.
As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in building/managing stakeholder relationships, establishing project timelines and budgets that allow for the delivery of the most strategic functionality within the project constraints.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide technical and engineering support across all phases of project planning, design, construction, and delivery
- Review and assess subcontractor submissions, including plant, Work Method Statements (WMS), personnel, and competency documentation
- Prepare and project-specific inductions, hazard identifications, and design risk assessments to ensure a strong safety culture
- Conduct WHSEQ inspections and audits, report performance outcomes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the preparation of engineering documentation, project reports, and compliance verification
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures and incident investigations
- Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to effectively resolve technical and operational challenges
- Contribute to contract administration, including cost tracking, variations, and reporting
- Undertake additional engineering-related duties as required to ensure successful project outcomes
- Other duties as required
About You
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in aviation, airfield pavement, or large-scale civil infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of pavement engineering, geometric design, and surfacing techniques
- Excellent grasp of WHSEQ principles and risk management frameworks
- Proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong client relationships
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to technical and project challenges
